There are a number of State Parks in the area, and canoeing is popular in the nearby Weeki Wachi River. As Hudson/New Port Richey is only 20 minutes to Clearwater, 35 minutes to Busch Gardens, and 45 minutes to Tampa and St Pete's, it is a great location for a Gulf Coast holiday.
